Heather Voegele formed Voegele Anson Law after spending more than 12 years at one of Nebraska’s largest law firms and 5 years heading the litigation department at one of Omaha’s fastest growing law firms, of which she was a founding member. Voegele Anson has extensive experience in all aspects of the dispute resolution and litigation processes and has first chaired more than 40 trials and arbitration final hearings throughout the United States. However, Voegele Anson’s experience extends far beyond the litigation process. Heather was selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2022 Edition of the Best Lawyers in America© for her work in Litigation.

Having spent her career working collaboratively with professionals in all aspects of the law, Voegele Anson has developed the unique ability to analyze a client’s needs from a variety of different angles. Get to Know Andreanna

Attorney
Andreanna "Annie" Smith joined Voegele Anson Law in February 2021. She graduated magna cum laude from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona with a degree in English Literature and spent three years as a senior editor of a national magazine before attending law school. Annie received her Juris Doctor from Phoenix School of Law, where she was an associate editor for Law Review, served as Vice President of the Federalist Society, and participated in a selective Prosecution Clinic and Internship. After graduation, Annie clerked for the Arizona Attorney General’s office in Civil Rights before moving to Portland, Oregon. There, Annie spent 7 years representing the interests of financial institutions in mediation and litigation, handling most of Oregon’s biggest foreclosure trials.

Much of Annie’s practice has involved advising large corporations on rules and regulations, as well as assisting with business practices to mitigate risk. Annie’s practice with Voegele Anson focuses on dispute resolution and civil litigation.

Attorney
Adam’s practice focuses on a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. Adam advises clients in pre-litigation resolution and strategy and represents clients in all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations and matters before administrative agencies.

Adam represents clients in a variety of substantive areas of the law including general contract disputes; disputes between members and owners of companies; franchise disputes; real and intellectual property disputes, including representation of both governmental entities and landowners in eminent domain proceedings; compliance with the Nebraska Liquor Control Act and related matters, including advising clients with respect to the three-tier system and disputes amongst participants in the tiers; disputes involving financial instruments and securities, including FINRA arbitrations; and trade secret and non-competition matters.

Get to Know Kristy

Claims Specialist
Kristy Skoog-Smith, an eastern Nebraska native, started her career in law as a legal assistant in collections before joining Voegele Anson Law in December of 2022. Previously, Kristy spent nearly twenty years in the Early Education field, employed by one of the largest early childhood education facilities in the U.S. She graduated magna cum laude from Midland University, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Art, with a concentration in commercial art. Kristy’s wide range of coursework, work experience, and attention to detail has proven vital to her current role as a Claims Specialist where she manages case calendars and assists with case development and legal research.
During non-work hours, Kristy enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.

Office Manager/Paralegal
Toni Smith is a native of western Nebraska who started her career in the Omaha area after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management from Bellevue University. After 12 years as a member of the executive team of a large local childcare center, Smith decided to endeavor into the legal world and help start Voegele Anson Law. Smith’s experience in the areas of client satisfaction and management have proven to be invaluable in the Firm’s inception and growth.

In her capacity as Office Manager, Smith keeps her finger on the pulse on every aspect of Voegele Anson Law and monitors the Firm's processes and practices to ensure clients receive the best possible service. As a paralegal, Smith oversees document production matters and various aspects of trial preparation.
